As an elective in the fall of 2019, I completed the final project by reconstructing a detail of the fifteenth-century panel in egg tempera. The materials used for the reconstruction consisted of a wood panel as the ground and pigment binded with egg tempera.  For the purpose of the assignment, I chose the proper left side of the painting as my subject and kept the dimensions of the detail section in my recunstruction. In the original work, I concluded that some of the pigment had faded with time so the colors used in the reconstruction were chosen to represent what the pigment might have looked like.

As an elective in the spring of 2020 under the instruction of Professor Brian Baade at the University of Delaware, I completed multiple reconstructions utilizing period-accurate materials and technologies. For the silverpoint assignment, I decided to reconstruct Head of a Woman by Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio. For the purpose of obtaining a stable enough surface for the metalpoint, I first damped the paper with water. Then I combined animal glue with the gray/blue pigment to make a paste (not too thick) and applied it evenly on the paper with a slightly damp sponge. After the paper dried, I utilized a fine tip metalpoint pen to complete the silverpoint drawing.

As an elective in the spring of 2020 under the instruction of Professor Brian Baade at the University of Delaware, I completed multiple reconstructions utilizing period-accurate materials and technologies. I chose to reconstruct Odilon Redon's Flowers in a Long-Necked vase. I used chalk pastels accurate to Redon's colors and ground paper that was as similar to the original work as possible.

As an elective in the spring of 2020, under the instruction of Professor Brian Baade at the University of Delaware, I completed multiple reconstructions utilizing period-accurate materials and technologies. This drawing was made using charcoal on off-white paper. Areas of stronger highlight were heightened with white chalk pastels.

As an elective in the spring of 2020, under the instruction of Professor Brian Baade at the University of Delaware, I completed multiple reconstructions utilizing period-accurate materials and technologies. For the tri-color drawing assignment, I chose to reconstruct Boucher's A Study for Two Nymphs A Nymph. The purpose of the assignment was to recreate a tri-color chalk drawing. I utilized red, black, and white chalk colors on cream laid paper to achieve the reconstruction.
